Veterans' Services
To honor Veterans' service to our country, Sharon Hills/Odd Fellows Cemeteries provides special savings and privileges. Our Veterans Appreciation Program combines significant discounts on burial space along with options for veterans and their loved ones that are not available at VA Cemeteries. No other cemeteries in Kent County offer this service.
- To express our appreciation for your sacrifice, honorably discharged veterans receive a $905.00 Discount on burial space. This is unique to our cemeteries.
- You may choose your own burial space. This option is not available at VA Cemeteries.
- Family members, as well as your spouse, may rest next to you in your own family plot. Once again, this is not available in VA cemeteries.
- You are eligible to receive a 24" 12" cast bronze memorial provided at no charge by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The memorial can be enhanced through the addition of a matching bronze vase assembly and natural granite base for a nominal cost. This service is available to all honorably discharged Veterans regardless of where they are buried. However, you can also order a companion memorial for your loved one; and, the fact that he or she may rest next to you is not available in VA Cemeteries.
- Attractive Payment Plans for less than $150/month are available if you wish to take advantage of the Veterans Appreciation Program.
- All other burial and memorialization options as detailed in the Services section of this website are also available to veterans.
