Elizabeth Wisk, of Wilmington, formerly of Smyrna, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at the age of 92.
She was born in Ashville, Pa., the daughter of the late John August and Auguste Wisk. She was employed by JC Penney, Dover, for 43 years, retiring in 1982. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dover, and later of Peace Lutheran Church, Smyrna.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings. She is survived by a brother, Edward Louis Wisk of Georgetown; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Sharon Hills/Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna, DE.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church (Altar Guild designated fund), 3003 Silverside Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810.
