Ann M. Scott, 75, of Dover passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
She was born on September 7, 1934 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of the late Ralph and Elsie Spence.
Ann and her husband and family were active in the family's business known as Spence's Bazaar.
She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and cards, and shopping. Her favorite spot was the beach and she especially enjoyed Grotto's.
Ann was a member of the Elks Club and the Modern Maturity Center.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Gregory Spence.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Jack F. Scott, a daughter Donna Cooper of Tacoma, Washington; two sons Mike Scott and his wife Linda of Milton, and Blake Scott and his wife Holly of Dover; nine grandchildren Michael Scott, Lindsey Scott, Tonia Kilroy and her husband George, Elisabeth Tisher and her husband Herb, Casey Scott, Blake Scott, Tyler Scott, Kyle Scott and Alexsandra Cooper; six great grandchildren, George Kilroy, Carly Kilroy, Zoe Scott, Xia Scott, Jack Tisher, Ryan Tisher; sister Phyllis Spence of Lebanon and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services and burial were private.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions in her memory be sent to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
