Vera Lawrence, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010, in Green Meadows Retirement Home, Dover at the age of 91.

She was born April 23, 1918 in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late David and Vera Norbeck.

Vera was a devoted homemaker and was a bookkeeper for her husband in the family business, Lawrence Garage and Body Shop in Woodside.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Tinney" Lawrence Sr. in 1995; and a great-granddaughter, Abby Christianson.

She is survived by two sons, William W. Lawrence Jr. and his wife, Elaine of Dover, and Richard Lawrence and his wife, Janet of Dover; a daughter, Holly L. Slaughter and her hus­band, Randy of Camden; nine grandchildren, Brian Krasts, Cheryl Lawrence, Eriks Krasts, Terri Perry, Jeffrey Lawrence, Kevin Lawrence, Tracy Christianson, Matthew Slaughter and Mi­chele Cathell; 11 great-grandchildren, Chey­enne Lawrence, Allison Perry, Tara Coker, Amanda Lawrence, Seth Lawrence, Nathan Christianson, Jacob Christianson, Isaac Chris­tianson, Alexis Krasts, Mason Cathell and Meg­an Cathell; and two great- great- grandchildren, Silas Coker and Kaleb Coker.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden­Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow at Sharon Hills/Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden, DE.
