Adeline B. Knotts, of Smyrna, passed away Sunday March 7, 2010 in Bayhealth/Kent General Hospital. She was 83.
Mrs. Knotts was born July 13, 1926, in Fairlee, Md., the daughter of the late Pierson and Emma Joyner Bigelow.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, eating crabs, spending time with children and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Knotts Sr. in 2002; and a grandson, James Cody Knotts in 1999.
She is survived by her son, J. Crawford Knotts Jr. and his wife Cherly of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Jodie Wood and her husband Brian and John C. Knotts; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jace.
Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, where friends may call two hours prior to the services. Burial will be at Sharon Hills/Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Highway Dover, DE 19901; or to the Ladies Aid of Downs Chapel Church.
