Friends of the late Carol Hurd, 81, of Dover, DE, may call on the family at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, where remembrance services will be held at 1:00 pm
Mr. Hurd died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at his home with his family present.
Born on May 2, 1928 in Felton, DE, he was the son of the late Ralph Hurd, Sr. and Ida Mae Allen Hurd.
Mr. Hurd worked at Playtex for 42 years. He enjoyed camping and being with family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Dear Hurd.
Mr. Hurd is survived by a son and daughter-inlaw, Carol James and Deborah Hurd of Dovre; a daughter, Linda Ann Blanchfield of Dover; three grandchildren, James and Mark Hurd and Melvin Blanchfield; and five great-grandchildren, Noah Blanchfield, James Lee Hurd, Melvin Blanchfield, Chase Oneill and Mason Phinney.
Interment will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park in West Dover, DE.
