Daniel W. Cole of Dover, Delaware passed away at home Friday October 9, 2009 at the age of 63.
Daniel was born June 12, 1946 in Wilmington, Delaware the son of the late George W. Niblet and Ellen Cole Negendank.
He worked on the line for Chrysler Corporation in Newark, Delaware for 30 years before retiring in 2006.
Daniel was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the American Legion Post #25 in Middletown, Delaware.
He was a member of the Smyrna-Clayton Moose Lodge and enjoyed shooting pool on the lodge team.
Daniel was also a member of Cheswold United Methodist Church and enjoyed tinkering on lawnmowers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Rayfield, Kenny, Francis and Charles Niblet; a sister, Beatrice Moore and his step-father, Henry G. Negendank.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Crossland Cole; three sons, Danny H. Naylor and his wife, Carrie of Clayton, Delaware, Preston M. Cole of Dover and Calvin E. Stewart, Jr. of Dover; a daughter, Marlene L. Atkins of Clayton; a sister, Nancy DeGirolano and her husband, Tony of Long Neck, Delaware; seven grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Retta Crossland of Hartly, Delaware; his sister-in-law, Karen Kemp and her husband, Bill of Hartly and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday October 15, 2009 at 1pm in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, Delaware where friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8pm.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park Dover, Delaware.
